Activenture provides activity holidays for disabled young people (8 - 18 years) but it relies on residential volunteers (helpers aged 14 - 18 years, staff aged 18+) to accompany our "guests" as companions/helpers under the supervision of trained adults and nursing staff.

Activenture is operated at our own residential facility at Woodrow High House (near Amersham, Buckinghamshire) and has been running for over 30 years at Hindleap Warren in East Sussex.  The holidays are run during school holidays throughout the year.

We receive volunteers from schools, colleges, universities, youth clubs and other professional / voluntary organisations across the South East.  We provide free training and support the Duke of Edinburgh Award and V Involved. Activities vary according to location and time of year, but typically will include: canoeing, archery, swimming, zip wire / abseil, competitions, craft sessions, disco, karaoke, amongst many others.
